Trail Description
This route starts with a nice piece of singletrack from the car park at Linn of Dee, pity it's so short as it all too soon joins the estate roads which lead to Derry Lodge, North of the Lodge there is a bridge with a sign post which points to the Lairig Ghru, this leads onto some boggy ground for a couple of hunderd metres then joins on to some excellent singletrack, follow this to the Luibeg burn & cross, it's lots of faffing around getting to the Luibeg Bridge, I wouldn't bother with it again, rockhopping, wading will save 30 mins & you get wet feet anyway going via the bridge.
Start climbing from here over huge granite slabs (bit of pushing) & excellent track, drainage ditches adds to the interest, the track is good all the way till you turn just before the Corour Bothy below the awsome Devils Point. From here the path is difficult to find but head South & you will find it, the riding from here almost all the way down Glen Dee to White Bridge is very intermittant with riding for a couple of hundered meters at a time at best, & a lot of pushing. From White bridge for the first km or so you can neglect the estate road & opt for the track alongside the river, eventually you have to join the estate Landrover track for the run back to Linn of Dee.
Pity the Glen Dee part was just not a little more rideable, it kind of spoils it, the way it is.
